Arts Alive will welcome award-winning poet and Kennedy Center teaching artist Glenis Redmond to Springfield as part of the 2016-17 Arts Alive season. While in Springfield, Redmond will conduct workshops with Project Jericho teens in the after school and juvenile detention center programs. She is also offering a master class for students in the Early Childhood Education program, along with invited Head Start teachers.

Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. Teams from Clark State, Bobby Fisher Distributing and The Assurant Group will participate in Volley for the Cure. The Ohio Department of Higher Education has approved the continuation of Clark State Community College’s Tuition Challenge Program for another academic year. The program waives standard tuition rates to students who complete 12 or more credit hours in a semester, achieve a grade of C or better in each course and enroll in the successive semester for 12 or more credit hours.
