Clark State Registration Begins Monday for Summer, Fall 2015

As spring break draws to a close, it is time to start planning for the 2015 summer and fall semesters at Clark State Community College. For the first time since Governor Kasich signed House Bill 488, United States veterans and active military will have priority registration at Clark State.

Clark State Men’s Baseball a Hit with Coach, Players

The Clark State Eagles will take the field for the men’s baseball season home opener at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 12 against Cincinnati University - Clermont. Clark State joined the National Junior College Athletic Association and is scheduled for 48 regular season games.

More than ten Clark State faculty, adjunct faculty and staff have been nominated for a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award. NISOD’s Excellence Award recognizes men and women each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues.

Clark State Grad Designs Her Own Success

Clark State alumna Tori Lane has made quite a name for herself, literally. Lane, a 2013 graduate, is the proud owner of T. Lane Designs, Limited and T. Lane Photography in Xenia. Lane was born and raised in Xenia and graduated from Xenia High School in 2010. She said Clark State was the best educational decision for her.

Governor Makes Clark State Board of Trustees Appointments

Governor John R. Kasich appointed two new members to the Clark State Community College Board of Trustees on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. David Ball of Springfield and Maurice McDonald of Beavercreek will begin their four-year terms immediately. The Governor also reappointed R. Andrew Bell of Springfield for a second term.

Clark State Welcomes Kanesha Hall as STEM Program Manager

Clark State Community College welcomed Kanesha Hall as the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program manager in January. As the STEM program manager, Hall will visit Clark County high schools and meet with staff, students and families.

Clark State to Host “Below 100” Officer Training

Clark State Community College will host “Below 100” training for local law enforcement officers on Tuesday, February 24. The mission and purpose of “Below 100” is to reduce the number of line-of-duty police officer deaths to less than 100 per year. The last time the number of line-of-duty deaths was below 100 was in 1943.
